I have finally gone hosted. I bought two years of hosting with Hostmonster this morning, and I have my posts imported. I’m still working rather hard on getting everything formatted, getting the theme straight, getting plugins, stuff like that, but it is up. I have it at bacclor.com/blog. If you go to bacclor.com, it will give you an under construction message. I’m not totally sure what I will use that front page for. At the moment, I am considering making it redirect to the blog until I can come up with something useful for it.
There’s still major work to be done, but I’m a site-owner! Yay!

I got an iTouch for Christmas, and I thought it would be cool if I made and published a post entirely from the iTouch. So, here you go. This post was made entirely and completely on the iTouch. Pretty cool, eh? It’s not quite as fancy as an iPhone, but I don’t have any intention of switching from Verizon. Anyway, this thing is cool! I tried to just go to WordPress and post something from in there, but the iTouch didn’t want to type in the entry box. So, I downloaded the WordPress app, and, so far, I am highly impressed. I’m still getting used to the touch screen, so typing is somewhat dificult. This app, though, seems to be extraordinarly good at predicting what I meant to type. It’s like it’s in my head… Anyway, this present in particular has made me happy.
Sorry for any misspellings; as I said, I’m still getting used to typing on the touch screen.
Now, it is time for me to to get that web hosting I’ve been talking about. Bye.

Merry Christmas, all! For this post, I am trying something out that I have never used before. I am setting this post on a timer so that at midnight, this post is displayed. I hope it works. The timer is in a different time zone from me, so that sort of put me off. Hopefully it works, though, and Merry Christmas!
Here is a crappy little thing I did in Paint. The picture of Arthas is from WoW Model Viewer, and the hat is from WeHats.com.
Update: Yay! It worked!

I have been farming eternals for gold for the past couple days, and I thought that I could write a little guide to farming eternals while I’m at it.
With Wrath of the Lich King, farming eternals has become much, much easier than farming primals ever was. Blizzard probably did this to get more people to participate in Wintergrasp, but I still don’t participate due to my complete lack of interest in PvP; I do reap the benefits, though.
Because of the new phasing technology, Blizzard was able to do something pretty cool. They made it so that whatever faction is controlling Wintergrasp at the moment, unlocks mobs that have 100% droprates to drop 1-3 crystallized elements, the type depending on what type of mob it is. The mobs are called revenants. There are other elementals that drop crystallized elements at about the same droprate as elemental plateue mobs, but the revenants are 100%. The sort of odd thing, though: There is no Life Revenant. You can farm the regular life mobs, but there is no mob that drops life 100%.
So, here’s a little list of revenants with links to Wowhead so that you can find them.
Then, the mobs that drop crystallized life are Living Lashers.
I have been farming the Water Revenants because the fire ones are way overcamped, their aren’t very many shadow ones and they have a terrible respawn timer, earth is worthless, and there aren’t terribly many air elementals, either. So, there are a ton of water elementals and water is actually worth a bit of gold. I think they’re awesome to farm. They’re a little bit difficult to kill, but I’m a healer, so a dps shouldn’t have any problem.
Please don’t do this on Hellscream-US, or I’ll bite you. I want my eternals.

I finished my frost resist set yesterday. I had to get two frozen orbs out of the guild bank, and I had to spend about 1000g in mats to skill myself up enough to make the chestpiece, but I did it! Now I need to pay those frozen orbs back… I’m thinking of returning three instead of two as my interest, but I’m not too sure about that, considering my current financial position.
I’m almost broke… It’s depressing… I have about 100g and 6 eternal waters, that I hope sell, to my name. I really need to find a good way to make money. I haven’t really made that much money off of fishing and cooking, I’ve been making a little bit from selling eternals, and there doesn’t seem to be enough dailies to do. I mean, I know there are more than 25 level 80 dailies, but I just can’t seem to find ones that work for me. There are some dailies that take way too long to do, considering the reward, there are dailies that are just way overcamped, there are a bunch of reasons why I’ve opted to farm over doing dailies. It just doesn’t seem to be enough, though. I can’t afford flasks, I can’t afford gems, I can’t afford enchants, I can’t afford to level my professions, I can’t afford my repairs half the time and I just can’t find a reliable way to make gold. It’s rather frustrating me. I could start playing the auction house like I used to, but I’m sort of hesitant to do that, considering how volitile the market is since Wrath is still rather new and all.
Anyway, I guess I’ll just keep doing what I’m doing to make gold until something better comes along. As for my resist set, I still need to get gems and enchants for that, but I don’t expect to be using it for a little while, because not many people will be raiding this close to Christmas. So, I have a little time to do that.
I wonder………. If I log on on Christmas and farm, do you think there would be less people camping the fire revenants in Wintergrasp?….

In case you don’t know, Saphiron, the frost wyrm in Naxx, is made easier if you have frost resist. So, you would probably like to have the frost resist set in order to fight her. The frost resist sets are crafted by Tailors (Cloth), Leatherworkers (Leather/Mail) and Blacksmiths (Plate).
Well, Blizz is increasing the mats required to make the resist sets in the next patch. I’m assuming that’s intended to act as a sort of artificial block so that not as many people can down Saphiron before they release new content. Well, it would probably be best if you try your hardest to get your resist set before Tuesday, because the patch may or may not hit Tuesday the 23rd. Hopefully I have another week, but I don’t know.
I’m not totally sure what the mats will be after the patch, but currently the mats for the cloth set are as follows:
210x Frostweave Cloth
28x Infinite Dust
7x Eternal Flame
7x Eternal Water
7x Eternium Thread
3x Frozen Orb
Shamelessly Stolen from rorshak on the Wowhead comments.
So, hurry hurry hurry. I need to make mine quick!
* Boots Done.
* Belt Done.
* Robe Done.

When Project Wonderful accepted my site to host their ads, I was skeptical that WordPress would let me display them. Every other piece of code I’ve tried to put on WordPress hasn’t worked, so why would this be any different? So, I was amazed when they actually showed up on the site. I was noticing, however, the lack of bids on the ads. Well, I discovered that the ad wasn’t activated yet. I’m so stupid… So, I go to activate it, and it says that their robots can’t find the ad. Well, I went into my code again and compared it to what I copy/pasted in there before. Turns out, WordPress deleted a chunk of the code while leaving the rest. So, the ad box appears on the site, but it really isn’t doing any advertising. I’m not going to take the ad box down, however, because it tracks page views, even in its broken form. So, if I keep it up like it is, it will continue to track page views, and then when I switch over to hosted, I should be able to get advertisers easier because they will know how much traffic I get. So you can breathe easy knowing that there won’t be ads up here for another week. There will just be that “your ad here” thing.

I’ve said in the past that I’ve wanted advertising on my blog, but no source of advertising has worked out. Either they’ve told me that they don’t except wordpress.com blogs, or I just didn’t like the way they did things. I have never had advertising on my blog until this point. About a week ago, I applied for Project Wonderful, and they approved my blog. So, now I have a Project Wonderful box with two ad spaces in it on the bottom left side. I’m very excited about it, and I would like to make some money back from hosting. That’s right; I’ll begin hosting my blog sometime around Christmas. That should be really cool. Check back here in the future for further details on what I’ll be doing with my very own site.

3.0.8, while not a major patch, holds some very nice changes. Here are some highlights that I thought were exciting:
Mob Tapping - Here is something that I have been wanting Blizz to do ever since I started playing. Make Shadow Word: Pain tap a mob! It is so frustrating when you have a mob all dotted up and ready to fight, and some druid comes up and moonfires before the dots tick. So, with 3.0.8, as soon as you get the mob’s attention, be it by dot, fear, direct damage, etc., you tap it.
Death Knights Everywhere – Here is something that Blizzard said they would have added on after release, but they never said when after release. Well, apparently it’s coming in 3.0.8. Now you can create a DK on any server you want as long as you have a 55 on at least one server. Yay!
“Levitate is now castable on others.” Wow… I was not expecting that one…
“Holy: Circle of Healing now has a 6 second cooldown.” Everyone knew this one was coming, but there it is in the official patch notes. I’ve never been particularly fond of Circle of Healing, so I never specced into it. Recently, I’ve been considering taking it, but now it’s getting the nerfbat.
“Racial restrictions on mounts have now been lifted. Night elves on mechanostriders? Tauren on raptors? You’re not seeing things.” This is one that I’m still not sure about. I’m thinking this means that the restrictions, like dwarves and gnomes to Mechanostriders ONLY becuase everyone else is too big, are getting removed. What I would like to see are the reputation requirements gone, though I doubt that would happen. I’m revered with all of the Alliance reps except Gnomergan Exiles, and I’m exalted with Stormwind. I don’t plan on getting exalted with the other races just to get their mounts.
