Revisiting QuestHelper

QuestHelper is one of those mods that everyone seems to love and that I just don’t like. Another one is Skinner, but that’s another discussion entirely. QuestHelper, though, was a big hit almost as soon as it was released. Everyone was talking about how awesome it was. So, I of course, had to download it to see what it was all about. So, I used it for about 3 months. I didn’t like it when I got it; I didn’t like it when I deleted it.

Now, with all the leveling and whatnot, I decided to try it out again. I’m level 72 right now, but there is a level 80 in my guild. So, after he dinged 80, I asked him how he did it so quickly. He said he just picked up quests and did them. I was like, I did that exact same thing for 16 hours on Saturday, and I only got one level and ten percent. He told me that I needed to get QuestHelper. I know what QuestHelper does; it tells you where to go to complete quests. I have been getting the same thing accomplished with LightHeaded and TomTom. However, I’m not leveling quickly enough, so I’m going to give QuestHelper another try. I downloaded it yesterday, but I haven’t had a chance to mess with it yet. So, I guess I’m going to go do that now. Bye.

Edit: Now, I’ve gotten a comment telling me that I need to buy Brian Kopps’ leveling guide. NO. I will not buy a guide. I used Jame’s Alliance Leveling Guide up until around level 45, and there’s a reason I stopped using it. Granted, that is a free guide, not a paid one, but the principal is the same. I hate being told what to do by a guide. I like to be able to go out and do what I want to instead of following a guide down to the letter.

  1. Quest Helper is good but is just not good enough. You may like to get a good World of Warcraft Guides to help you level up. I have got the Joana’s Horde Guide with the In Game Leveling Mod and after 3 days of playing the new expansion WotLK, I’m already level 78.
